iPod Dock Programming

This is an Out Of Topic (OOT) posting. I have an idea in my mind to use IPOD to read a RFID tag such as an Object X then play the appropriate record (ObjectX.mp3). The first stage only using sound. The second stage will using video.

Pinout of Apple iPod dock interface and layout of 30 pin iPOD special connector at:

iPod dock to 8 pin mini-din.

PIN Description
1 3.3V out from iPod 100ma MAX
2 12V DC in (charge)
3 TX out (3.3v)
4 RX in (3.3v)
5 Ground
6 Audio – Right
7 Audio – Left
8 Audio – Ground

This is commercial one SendStation
