Mindjet Connect Account Management

Manage Connections
Connect to your workspaces whenever and wherever you need to, with the ability to manage separate, per-account connection settings.

Account Owners
Manage the use of workspaces across your organization with tools exclusively for the account owner. Invite or remove users and control access globally within an intuitive interface.

Users
Interact as widely as you wish by inviting account users within your company and without by simply using an e-mail address. Users have access only to workspaces they are invited to join, and can be granted the power to create their own workspaces. Users can be removed from an account at the end of a project so that new users can be invited.

Information Management

Reliable Data Storage
Information managed in Connect is kept in a reliable, secure, backed-up database. Each Mindjet Connect Account and associated data is managed separately affording complete security and privacy. To the user, this means that once the information is imported or created within Connect, it is safely stored. To the enterprise, this means the information has been captured in a reliable, shared database rather than being lost within a file or e-mail system.

Access Levels
Collaborate confidently, knowing that workspace members can be given one of three access levels once invited to the workspace. Owner entitles the member to add or delete other members and documents within a workspace. Author allows members to edit or delete documents within a workspace but cannot add or delete members. Reader provides members with “Read-Only” access within a workspace with no ability to add, delete, or modify members or documents.

Important, Favorite and Hidden Workspaces and Documents
Find the right workspace, map or document right away by tagging your most frequently used and hiding others.

Collaborative Workspaces

Mindjet Connect Workspace Manager
Leverage all collaboration tools from a single dashboard—manage every secure workspace you’ve created or been invited to, and launch productivity tools such as instant meeting, instant messaging and integrated e-mail.

Personal Workspace
Create a personal place to store your own maps, files and other information without inviting other members to join that workspace.

Workspaces
Create new workspaces when you need them, for new projects, new teams and new clients. Then tailor your workspaces with access controls for invited members, locking and versioning of documents, integration with e-mail, and importing of maps and secondary documents. Users with workspace creation rights can be designated as new workspace owners when workspaces no longer have an owner.

Workspace Owners
Create workspaces tailored to your business if you are a user with workspace creation rights. Invite members and assign discretionary access levels.

Workspace Members
Workspace members are select users invited to a workspace. Members are assigned access levels upon invitation by the workspace owner. Members can also be invited to more than one workspace within an account.

Workspace Notes
Keep everyone on the same page with workspace descriptions that add context and clarify goals.

Hide Workspace
Place “back-burner” projects in “hidden” status to showConnect only relevant workspaces—and easily bring them back when it’s time to move on them.

Workspace Documents

Workspace maps
Collaborate with your workspace members using maps that support simultaneous, independent editing by multiple users.

Workspace Files
View more than maps in workspaces. Workspaces can store all types of files such as Microsoft Office documents, PDFs and others.

Add a New Document
Import maps and workspace files for all team members to view, using simple dialog boxes familiar to all web users.

Share Documents
Avoid costly rework by linking maps and documents to other workspaces ensuring that only the most current version is accessed at all times.

Document Locking
Keep collaborators from overwriting each others’ work by allowing users to declare that they have “checked out” documents and maps so that they can change them safely.

Versioning
Innovate freely, because Mindjet Connect automatically creates a snapshot of maps and documents and saves every version so they can be subsequently viewed or restored.
